Greater Toledo Inline Hockey League

It is the intent of the Greater Toledo Inline Hockey League board members to
provide an opportunity for participating players to express their concerns and
receive a timely and appropriate response. In order to ensure a respectful and
professional experience, the board insists that players follow the Grievance
procedures as presented below.
 
Grievance Procedure:

 Cooling off period
o There are to be no spontaneous grievance related conversations immediately
following a game. Players agree to wait at least 12 hours after a game prior to
initiating a conversation with a league representative.

Grievance Form
o Prior to any conversations being held between a player and a board member, a
grievance form must be completed by the team member and must be submitted
correctly by either mail or website. The grievance form can be filled out online at
www.GTIHL.com.

 Player/Board Member Meeting
o The board members will contact the players and arrange a time to meet with the
player (if appropriate) in order to resolve the issue. Both players and board
members agree to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully at all times.

Decision
o The board members will review each correctly submitted grievance report. The
decision of the grievance report will be voted on by the board members. The
board members decision is FINAL.
Additional Requirements
o A deposit of $50 must be submitted with the grievance report before the board
will review any report. If the board members reach a decision in favor of the
player, then the deposit will be refunded. If the board members reach a decision
against the player, then no refund will be awarded.

Policy
o In the interest of protecting the family oriented environment of the Greater
Toledo Inline Hockey League, it is imperative that this policy be followed by all.
Failure to follow this policy may incur punitive action by the Greater Toledo
Inline Hockey League board members. The above requirements ensure that only
serious grievance reports will be filed.
